Ford SLC Installation Instructions

Do not smoke or be near open flame while performing installation. Wear eye protection as the fuel system is under pressure.
Kit Includes
Installation bracket/s, cable ties EFI multi port fuel injection hose with Male/Female quick connect fittings (Not included – Ford Fuel Line disconnect tool No. 7336 – available at your local Ford Dealer or see page 3 of the installation instructions)

Installation Procedure
• Unscrew the filler cap to release residual pressure in the fuel system.
• Screw the 90* fittings into the top and bottom of the Fitch unit. Tighten down the lock nut on the 90* fittings.
• Using the provided male and female hoses, screw the opposite end of the male and female quick connects onto the 90* fittings according to the factory male and female quick connect fittings.
• Locate a secure mounting location. Typical mounting locations are the master brake cylinder stud, firewall, inside fender, or along the frame. Slide over the supplied mounting clamp and tighten it down.
• Run both hoses form the Fitch unit to the factory quick connect fittings. These fittings are typically located on top of the engine in the front or back near the firewall, near the fuel rail, on the side of the engine, or under the vehicle by fuel filter.
• Disconnect the fuel supply line male/female quick connect fitting (refer to page 3 of the installation instructions).
• Install the factory female quick connect fitting by sliding it onto our Fitch male quick connect until it bottoms out and snap the locking clip over. Connect the Fitch female quick connect onto the factory male until it bottoms out and snap the locking clip over.
• Disconnect both the battery leads and touch together for at least 30 seconds. If vehicle is equipped with 2 batteries disconnect all 4 leads, and than touch one set at a time together. Now reconnect both lead sets to both batteries. This will ensure the computer memory is reset.
• Turn the key to the “on” (not crank) position, wait 10 seconds, turn the key off and repeat 4
– 5 times. This is to prime the fuel system.
• Double check all connections for leaks, and also make sure fuel lines do not come in
contact with any of the exhaust, intake, or cooling system components. Priming/Bleeding the system may be needed but varies with every installation to ensure the removal of any air in the fuel line.
• Start vehicle and hold steadily at 1500 rpm for 60 seconds. This is to cycle fuel through the system, eliminating any air in the system.
